Pembrokeshire offers some stunning coastline aswell as a splattering of history with some impressive castles and St. David's Cathedral. Tenby is the main town in the area and if you want nightlife, this is probably your best bet. But around the area, Saundersfoot offers a less busy alternative, as well as numerous campsites in the area.
Pembrokeshire is about an hour at the most from Cardiff and if you are travelling by train you will probably arrive into Tenby.
Depending on what you are after, there is lots of possibilities in the area. If there is a group of you it may be worth hiring a cottage, but be warned it is advisable to do this well in advance. There is a Youth Hostel at Manorbier
near Tenby (0870 770 5954) with some self catering but again it is advisable to book in advance. You'll find Bed and Breakfast's in most towns and villages, expect to pay £50-80 for a double room.
